I’ve been working in the Fitness Industry since 2009. I work specifically with prenatal and postpartum women to help them find strength through pregnancy and into motherhood. I pull from my knowledge in barbell, kettlebell, natural movement, and mobility to develop unique and specific programing that will help my clients to reach their individual goals and help them to find joy in movement and power in strength.
I am also a mother. I trained through my entire pregnancy and found, that aside from physical strength, it gave me the assurance and trust in my body that I needed to KNOW that I could bring my baby into the world. It also gave me a deeper awareness of my body, allowing me to communicate more effectively with my midwife, doctors, and my partner about what I was feeling and what I needed; it gave me the ability to confidently advocate for myself.
No one knows exactly how their birth is going to unfold but everyone can make choice to prepare for the unexpected and to set themselves up for an easier recovery.
I sustained a fourth degree tear during my birth which is something that I never would have expected but I truly feel that the work I did during my pregnancy prepared my body to heal.
It is my passion to help women find a deep appreciation for their bodies.
